Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Wear loose fitting clothing that you feel comfortable in, also shorts or spandex will work.
SHOULD I BRING ANYTHING?
Yes, be sure to bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated, a towel because you will sweat.
DOES MY AGE MATTER?
Not at all, there is no age limit. I have had students from age 3 up to age 100. If you can follow directions and you're able to get to the studio, you can participate.
I AM NOT VERY HEALTHY, ARE THERE ANY OPTIONS FOR ME?
Absolutely! Many of my students have health limitations such as, hip replacements, lumbar issues, heart transplant, spondylitis, cancer, high blood pressure, rotator cuff issues, and much more. Yoga is about a mind body connection. Not everyone has the same capabilities physically but if you can move just a little and breathe, then you can become peaceful inside and begin to heal your body.
DO I NEED A PRESCRIPTION OR A DOCTORS NOTE TO TAKE CLASSES?
Not usually but if you have serious health issues it is best to get a note from your doctor explaining if you have limitations to your movements. The doctor will state if any positions are not recommended for you.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
Our address is 221 South Tamiami Trail, suites 233-235 in Nokomis, Florida. Also called US41. We are on the east side of the street, south of Albee Road. We have plenty of parking and are handicapped accessible.
ARE THERE ANY FORMS YOU NEED?
Prior to your first class, print, fill out and bring with you our New Student/Liability Form.
As a caretaker, my stress level was very high and started to affect my health. I needed serious help and was fortunate to find Nelda. She opened up the wondrous world of healing to me through yoga. Her deep knowledge, skill and total dedication sets her apart from others. I am forever grateful to Nelda for enabling me to find my positive energy.
My 83 year old husband suffers from dementia. Nelda volunteered to come to the Memory Care Facility to explore, if there was a chance to improve his general health condition. Now, after several treatments, he has become more engaged and shows more interest in activities. His movements have improved and his complexion shows better overall blood circulation. Nelda is giving hope, as only she is able to do.
